Oman Post delegation visits Emirates Post Group to review best practices

Dubai, UAE, July 19, 2016: Emirates Post Group recently welcomed a delegation from Oman Post at its head office in Dubai and briefed the visitors on best practices in postal operations and mail sorting systems. The delegation was welcomed by Acting CEO of Emirates Post Group Mr. Abdullah Mohammed Al Ashram.
The Oman Post delegation included CEO of Oman Post Mr. Abdul Malik bin Abdul Karim Al Balushi, Assistant General Manager of Operations, Mr. Hammoud Al Kharousi and Project Manager Engineer Al Ameera bint Juma Al-Hashemi.
Mr. Al Ashram briefed them on key technical aspects of mail sorting, and highlighted the major achievements of Emirates Post Group, which focus not only on the development of postal operations to meet the needs of today, but also to accommodate the aspirations of the future. He spoke about EPG’s strengths in the delivery of quality postal services through a vast postal network.
He highlighted the importance of exchanging visits for the purpose of benchmarking, and boosting overall performance.
“Emirates Post Group has been at the forefront of innovation and technological development in the postal field, and our expertise and excellence in different areas, including in automated sorting systems, has served as a model for other institutions to follow. We are always keen to share our expertise with other postal administrations, especially those from brotherly countries. EPG strongly supports the government’s innovation strategy that aim to make the UAE one of the best countries in the world by 2021,” Mr. Al Ashram added.
The Oman Post delegation lauded the high standards in mail sorting operations and e-commerce, which have become models for other postal organisations that are pursuing excellence in different postal fields.
