IFS, the global enterprise applications company, today announced that Luis Ortega has taken over as Managing Director for its Middle East, South Asia & Africa (MESAA) operations effective today. Luis takes over the role from Ian Fleming, who has spearheaded the company’s growth in the MESAA region.
Having recently signed a US multi-million dollar deal with Middle East’s largest paint manufacturing and distribution company National Paints last month, Luis will be tasked with continuing to grow the region’s footprint.
Luis has been with IFS for nearly four years and has spent most of his professional career helping asset intensive businesses in Europe, Middle East and Africa improve their Asset Lifecycle Management. He holds a Masters in Telecommunication Engineering, and brings extensive experience in the engineering, consulting and outsourcing services with a primary focus on the Energy, Utility and Telecommunications industry.
Prior to IFS, Luis was the Managing Director for the UAE branch of a global energy, engineering and construction company. Having experience in managing teams and infrastructure projects from project inception to completion will enable him to add value to IFS’s growing customer base and support the company’s growth plans.
“I am looking forward to continue building on the already strong growth we have achieved in the region, driving new sales for IFS and supporting our existing customer base,” says Luis Ortega, managing director for IFS Middle East, South Asia and Africa.
Some of IFS’s customers in the Middle East, South Asia and Africa region include AIC Steel, Alyaf Industrial Company, NHPC, OBEETEE, Oilfields Supply Centre (OSC), Pipavav, Sun International, Toyota Lanka, Vital Distribution.
