Silver Peak Achieves VMware Ready™ Status for Network Functions Virtualization

Unity EdgeConnect Sails Through Validation Process Proving Unprecedented Performance and Flexibility

Silver Peak, the leader in building software-defined Wide Area Networks (SD-WANs), today announced that the company’s SD-WANoffering, Unity EdgeConnect, has attained VMware Ready™ status for Network Functions Virtualization (NFV). This designation indicates that after a detailed validation process EdgeConnect has achieved VMware’s highest level of endorsement, and can be found on theVMware Solution Exchange (VSX).

With Unity EdgeConnect achieving VMware Ready status for NFV, Silver Peak and VMware are providing partners and customers with a solution to rapidly and non-disruptively augment or replace their MPLS networks with any form of broadband connectivity. At its core, EdgeConnect provides high levels of performance, including broadband quality of service (QoS), as well as visibility into both legacy and cloud applications.
