June 05, 2016- Imdaad, a leading provider of integrated facilities, environment and energy management solutions in the GCC, has recently participated in the World Environment Day celebrations themed ‘Go Wild for Life’ at the Dubai Festival Centre mall, organized by the Dubai Silicon Oasis Authority. The World Environment Day is a global initiative led by the United Nations Environment Programme held every June 5 to raise awareness on protecting nature and promote sustainable environmental practices.
Imdaad organized a series of interactive activities at its stand along with Khaddour, the fun-loving leaf character and the mascot of its flagship community programme ‘Be’ati’. During the event, Khaddour entertained the children and engaged them in eco-friendly actions such as recycling as part of one’s daily practice. A puzzle board on display at Imdaad’s stand also captured the children’s attention.
‘Be’ati’ is one of Imdaad’s major corporate social responsibility initiatives, which aims to spread awareness and initiate action on conserving natural resources through various activities such as recycling, waste segregation, paperless transactions, energy conservation, tree planting, among others.
Jamal Abdullah Lootah, CEO of Imdaad, commented: “Imdaad’s initiative at this year’s celebration of the World Environment Day is part of our firm commitment to implement environmentally sustainable practices in the UAE and continue to share them across the region. The most important aspect of this celebration is to encourage more UAE citizens and residents to take action and transform their ways that are in line with environmental sustainability. These practices are not only a corporate social and environmental responsibility for the company, but are an integral aspect of our core business operations.”
