Students at Zayed Agricultural Center for Development and Rehabilitation showcase their work at Abu Dhabi Fund for Development

Abu Dhabi, UAE, 10 May, 2016 - A group of young students with special needs and learning difficulties from the Zayed Agricultural Center for Development and Rehabilitation, part of the Zayed Higher Organization for Humanitarian Care & Special Needs, visit the headquarter of Abu Dhabi Fund for Development (ADFD), Abu Dhabi’s international development arm to present their creativity and ability in production areas such as agricultural rehabilitation, animal’s husbandry and poultry skills besides beekeeping skills.
The visit was part of a programme focused on empowering the students to take an active role in society through building life skills and developing their creativity with participants able to discuss their products with employees, how they were grown or built as well as debate prices, all key elements of commerce and modern day society.
Fatima Al Blooshi, Manager of Media and Communication from Abu Dhabi Fund for Development said, ‘We have long partnered with the Zayed Higher Organization for Humanitarian Care & Special Needs as part of our commitment to give back to the society in which we operate. The Organization reflects our core philosophy that guide all of our actions at the Fund as par to our social mandate that it is essential to give people the tools and skills to help themselves and contribute to growth and development in their societies. I look forward to welcoming future groups to the Fund.’
