Bulgarian Minister opens Bulgarian Dairy Range at Al Maya Supermarkets

Dubai, UAE, April 16, 2016:   A first of its kind “Exclusive Bulgarian Dairy Range” in Dubai was inaugurated by the Deputy Minister of  Economy and CEO of Bulgaria Invest Agency, Mr. Stamen Yanev during his official visit to Dubai at the Al Maya Supermarkets, in the presence of  H.E. Mr Bogdan Kolarov, Consul General of the Republic of Bulgaria in Dubai, Mr. Kamal Vachani, Group Director of Al Maya Group and members of the Bulgarian Diaspora in the UAE.  

Al Maya Group, is in the forefront of UAE’s consumer business with a formidable influence in the country’s food retail and distribution business. Al Maya Supermarkets spread across 46 stores in the UAE will bring to its customers a wide range of Bulgarian cheese and other dairy products.
  
Mr. Kamal Vachani, thanked the Bulgarian Minister for choosing Al Maya as the venturing partner in the UAE and assuring him full support in elaborating the availability of  Bulgarian dairy and agro food products in the Al Maya Supermarkets across the UAE and Sultanate of Oman. "We will facilitate a conducive business environment and beneficial business relationships to ensure better participation from Bulgarian food manufacturers in representing themselves in the UAE” said Mr.Vachani.  

This initiative is a perfect start for the future of Bulgarian presence in the UAE market. Minister Stamen Yanev pointed that in the last years there has been a rapid increase in the bilateral trade with UAE. There has also been overwhelming willingness by Bulgarian manufacturers and brand owners to represent themselves in Dubai and UAE at large. Mr. Yanev is keen to realize better partnership between Bulgaria and the UAE and during this visit, he will facilitate dialogue and engage with instrumental personalities to facilitate opening the doors to those in the UAE convinced upon investing in Bulgaria and for Bulgarian companies to represent themselves in the UAE.
 
H.E. Mr Bogdan Kolarov, Consul General of the Republic of Bulgaria in Dubai expressed gratitude to the authorities in UAE and Dubai for the favorable business climate created in the country and for the consistent support and cooperation provided. Being a hub of regional business and trade, the business climate in the UAE is conducive to stimulate Bulgarian exports and is viewed as a priority destination for the Bulgarian businesses. He also thanked Mr. Kamal Vachani and the Al Maya Group for the wholehearted support given to this ambitious endeavor. 
 
“Today we have seen through establishing a pioneering step by making available Bulgaria’s premium cheese manufactured by Bulgaria’s leading Dairy company and we have successfully set foot on firm grounds to progress with their strategic plans for UAE and the region”, said Mr. Dimitar Dimitrov, Commercial representative of the Republic of Bulgaria in UAE. “This project is the first of its kind in the short history of the economic relations between UAE and Bulgaria and we will soon realize more of such mutually beneficial associations”, he added.
