Business conglomerate keen to expand its commitment to society through CSR initiative
Dubai, UAE, March 30, 2016: As part of its commitment to the UAE’s community, Bhatia Brothers, one of the oldest and most diversified business conglomerates in the GCC, organized a two-day blood donation camp in Dubai recently.
The camp was organized in association with the Dubai Blood Donation Centre (DBDC) of the Dubai Healthcare City and witnessed the overwhelming participation of the group’s employees working at different verticals.
Bhatia Brothers CEO Manish B. Bhatia described the initiative as an important activity aimed at reinforcing the group’s relations with the UAE community and involving its employees in noble causes. “For almost six decades, Bhatia Brothers has played a key role in the development of the UAE and its people. As a pioneering business group, we are therefore committed to contribute to society by involving ourselves in worthy and crucial causes such as these,” he added.
Under the supervision of DBDC officials, more than 80 employees from Bhatia Brothers generously donated blood and demonstrated their support by volunteering for a selfless cause. The camp was held at the Bhatia Brothers’ corporate office at Business Bay and at its Al Quoz office and warehouse.
The blood donated through such initiatives contribute towards helping accidents and burns victims, thalassemia patients, neo-natal and pregnancy health complications as well as important surgeries that require urgent transfusion.
