Dubai, United Arab Emirates, March 23, 2016: Al-Futtaim Motors, exclusive distributor of Toyota in the UAE, and the Emirates Driving Institute (EDI), the leading driving school in the Middle East, have signed a partnership agreement that will see a new fleet of Toyota Yaris Hatchback and Sedan become the preferred choice for existing and new students.
An initial batch of 140 Toyota Yaris sedan has been handed over the EDI, with the remaining units to be delivered by the end of the year. All cars have been modified with a new high-quality dual pedal system that improves safety for both student and instructor.
“The all-new Toyota Yaris has been one of the best-selling vehicles in its class since launching in 2013, offering category-leading safety and fuel economy, which makes it the best choice for companies who put substantial mileage on their vehicles and who want to ensure that safety of new drivers is not compromised, giving them peace of mind when they get behind the wheel for the first time,” said Saud Abbasi, Managing Director of Toyota at Al-Futtaim Motors. “We expect this to be a solid milestone in a longstanding relationship with EDI as we continue to cement Al-Futtaim Motors’ and Toyota’s position in the SME market, with unmatched quality, durability and reliability.”
Amer Ahmed Belhasa, Managing Director, Emirates Driving Institute commented on the partnership: “EDI’s mission is to provide quality driver training on par with international standards. This partnership with Al-Futtaim Motors is a step in the right direction, ensuring that our training fleet is of the highest quality, allowing us to deliver excellent learning coupled with a high level of student safety that will contribute towards creating better and safer drivers.”
The Toyota Yaris is renowned for its roomy interior, reliability, low total cost of ownership, build quality and strong residual value, and is available in both 1.3 and 1.5 litre engines in both Hatchback and Sedan models, with prices starting from AED 51,000.
