Malabar Gold & Diamonds conducts free health checkup in association with Ministry of Health, Umm Al Quwain

Malabar Gold & Diamonds conducts free health check-up and provides free medicines to the needy in Association with Ministry Of Health, Umm Al Quwain.

Dubai, UAE, March 13, 2016:  Malabar Gold & Diamonds, one of the leading jewellery group with over 145 retail outlets globally organized a free medical camp in association with Ministry of Health – Umm Al Quwain, Indian Association – Umm Al Quwain, Metro Medical Centre, Aster Pharmacy and Health First Pharmacy on 4th March, Friday, 2016 from 07:00 am to 12:30 pm near to Malabar Gold & Diamonds showroom at Umm Al Quwain. The medical camp is conducted as a part of Malabar Gold & Diamonds UAQ showroom’s first anniversary celebrations. 

Aiming to ensure the quality health care accessible to everyone, Malabar Gold & Diamonds has been conducting several such health checkup camps in different parts of the Middle East in association with like-minded organizations as a part of their CSR activities. Over 700 residents benefitted from the camp.

Commenting on the initiative, Mr Shamlal Ahamed M P, Managing Director - International Operations, said ‘We, Malabar Group is always in forefront when it comes to CSR right from the beginning. We have kept aside 5% of our profit for the CSR activities in all the regions where we operates. We are pleased to participate in this noble cause and we thank Ministry of Health – Umm Al Quwain, Indian Association – Umm Al Quwain, Metro Medical Centre, Aster Pharmacy and Health First Pharmacy for their whole hearted support. 

This facility was open to the public and was offered free consultations and diagnosis by expert doctors including General Practitioners, Orthopedician, Ophthalmologist, Dentists and Pediatrician. They used the facility to check their Blood Sugar, Blood pressure, Multi-functional weighing scale and can undergo physical examination. Through this camp, they raised the awareness by educating the public to follow a well-balanced diet for a healthy living and expert dentist have provided basic education on dental care. 

The group supports many philanthropic activities and is always ready to take initiatives to help the deprived section in the society. The key focus areas of the CSR initiatives of Malabar Group are in the areas of Health, Education, Women Empowerment, Housing and Environment.The group, which currently has showrooms across GCC, India, Malaysia and Singapore undertakes several welfare activities with the association of like-minded organizations in the respective regions.
