Sharjah Central Post Office offers integrated services to rising number of customers

Sharjah Central Post Office is equipped to deliver a diversified offering of postal and non-postal services, on the strength of its location right in the centre of the emirate, surrounded by several government establishments and departments. It is also the headquarters for the 3rd postal zone, which supervises all post offices in the emirates of Sharjah, Ajman Emirate and Umm Al Quwain.
Chief Commercial Officer of EPG, Mr. Ibrahim Bin Karam, said Sharjah Central Post Office is among the post offices that won the four-star rating under the UAE Government Program for Service Excellence, launched by His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, UAE Vice President and Prime Minister and Ruler Dubai in 2011, with the goal of achieving a qualitative leap in efficiency in government services, matching international standards.
Sharjah Central Post Office has 35,564 Boxes for individuals and corporates. The average footfall per day is 1,750 customers and each transaction is completed in less than 5 minutes. The Post Office offers a Public P.O. Box service for those who do not own a P.O. Box, under the shared P.O. Box No. 32223.
Mr. Bin Karam said EPG, under the guidance of the UAE leadership, seeks to be a role model among government entities, as a service point, center for innovation and development, and courtesy, in addition to highest levels of customer satisfaction.
He added that the Group is implementing a strategic plan focused on continuous development and diversification of services, with the aim of achieving highest customer satisfaction and happiness.
