Dubai, February 27, 2016: Emirates Post Group felicitated 23 Post Offices which were rated as Four-Star Service Centers under the UAE Government “Global Star Rating System for Services” program launched by His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of UAE and Ruler of Dubai.
Speaking on the occasion, Acting CEO of EPG Mr. Fahad Al Hosani, praised the Post Office managers and their teams for their role in raising the bar on customer service and thus positioning the post offices to attain higher results in the next rounds of the Project and be role models for other government departments.
Commenting on the rating, Mr. Al Hosani said the honour bestowed on the post offices would motivate the staff to aspire for higher standards as well as inspire other post offices to better their standards.
Mr. Al Hosani added that the Group’s strategy is to remain deeply engaged to the program created by the UAE leadership and get all employees involved in the goal of making government service channels centers of excellence, innovation and courtesy.
The Star Rating System was launched as part of the UAE government’s commitment to implement the directives of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum to move towards a Smart Government and Customer Happiness, and thus improve the overall performance of the government and provide high-quality public services. This system aims to ensure delivery of government services to customers in an innovative and creative way exceeding their expectation.
During 2013 and 2014, a total of 51 post-offices were evaluated under the program, and 23 were awarded the four-star rating, thus giving an impetus to EPG’s overall strategy to boost customer service excellence further.
The ceremony was attended by top officials of EPG, including Emirates Post CEO Abdullah Al Ashram, Chief Commercial Officer of EPG Ibrahim Bin Karam, Chief of Postal Operations Affairs Sultan Al Midfa and Chief Support Services Officer Sami Al Khaja.
