Volvo revamps retail design concept with a warm Swedish welcome
Dubai, UAE, February 15, 2016: Embarking on new standards that transform the traditional retail landscape, Volvo Cars MENA and Trading Enterprises inaugurated the new Volvo Retail Experience (VRE) in Abu Dhabi. Located at Mina Zayed, the new showroom reflects Scandinavian-inspired values of calm, clean lines with 'cool on the outside and warm on the inside'-style architecture.
The inauguration ceremony was attended by senior officials from the Sweden Embassy in the UAE, senior representatives from Volvo Cars MENA, Trading Enterprises and Al-Futtaim in addition to business partners, VIP customers and members of the press.
“The VRE concept is a positive signal of Volvo’s commitment to the UAE as well as the brand’s bright future in the premium automotive sector,” said Emre Karaer, General Manager of Volvo Cars MENA. “Our primary objective is to develop Volvo retailers into a modern and contemporary forum, reflecting the core values of Volvo. VRE stimulates all the senses of our customers providing a desirable experience where the surroundings reflect the love and quality of our brand,” added Karaer.
Launched in 2013, ‘Volvo Retail Experience’ is a new retail concept designed to be universally applied by 2020 at all Volvo’s dealership. VRE demonstrates a tastefully equipped living room that creates an engaging home-like feel in line with the ‘designed around you’ brand strategy. The concept aims at enhancing the customers experience while focusing on design quality and contemporary aesthetics that complements Volvo’s professed loyalty to its Scandinavian heritage.
Building up on over 30 years partnership with Volvo Cars, Mohammed Maktari, Managing Director of Trading Enterprises said: “We are pleased to be the first dealership in the GCC to implement VRE in Abu Dhabi. This step further validates our long term commitment towards strengthening the presence of Volvo in the UAE.”
Mr. Maktari added: “Our new showroom promises to welcome our customers in a completely new relaxing and pleasing environment while they explore Volvo range of cars on display.”
The new showroom in Abu Dhabi offers accessibility by signaling positive illustration of Volvo’s future. Featuring a balance between physical and digital presentation, the showroom integrates the sales areas in an open and holistic environment. The glass facade complements the design to draw attention and highlight the Iconic Volvo Cars Range on display.
Prior to VRE, Volvo has launched in UAE the Volvo Personal Service (VPS). The program entails the introduction of a Personal Service Technician in the workshop for each and every Volvo customer. This program is already in practice in the UAE and will roll out to the rest of MENA markets before 2018. The leading concepts VRE along with VPS assert Volvo’s primary objective to provide Volvo customers the best retail and after sales experience.
The VRE showroom in Abu Dhabi on Mina Zayed Street welcomes its customers starting February 2016 and will be replacing the old showroom located on Electra Road. Flagship cars including the all-new XC90, S60 and V60 Polestars - will be displayed and retailed at the showroom with the highest standards known by Volvo.
