RAK Chamber Issues 61 Economic and Statistical Publications

Ras Al Khaimah, 13 January 2016: In 2015, the RAK Chamber of Commerce and Industry contributed in supporting and promoting the role of the private sector in economic development, improving its performance to efficiently keep pace with the economic and social development process in Ras al-Khaimah.

The efforts exerted by the Commercial Services and Business Development Sector at the RAK Chamber resulted in 61 publications, including bulletins, studies, reports, brochures and booklets. During the past year, the sector issued 12 monthly statistical bulletins in Al Ghorfa Magazine, 12 economic articles, 6 issues of the Economic Vision Magazine, as well as 19 statistical and economic reports to be published on the Chamber’s website. The sector issued also 4 quarterly statistical bulletins, including the Chamber’s statistical reports, in addition to the annual statistical indicator summarizing the monthly and quarterly reports and including foreign trade reports and various public economic indicators. Moreover, the sector prepared 3 analytical sectoral studies, a Business Environment Manual, an Investment Guide for the Emirate of RAK and 2 publications about some of the emirate’s industries.

The Chamber, through the Commercial Services and Business Development Sector, worked on introducing investors to Ras Al Khaimah for available investment opportunities in different sectors. It was keen on providing statistical and economic data on different sectors in a way that is accessible to the decision makers in both public and private sectors, so as to achieve the optimal use of economic and investment decision-making and benefit the local economy of the emirate as well as the establishments registered in the Chamber.
