Safe & Sound Breast Cancer Community Event to be held at Kite Beach 30th of October 2015

In order to raise awareness in the ongoing  fight against Breast Cancer under the umbrella of the Safe & Sound Campaign, Burjuman Invites UAE residents to come together for a community celebration at Kite Beach on 30th October.

Dubai, October 22, 2015 - BurJuman has today announced that a Safe & Sound community event will take place at Kite Beach on 30th of October 2015. UAE residents are invited to gather together at the main food court area of the beach from 3:30pm to 5:30pm and will be able to enjoy a number of fun-filled activities to mark the end of this year’s all important breast cancer awareness month. 

The family friendly event will kick start with a performance by the renowned Dubai Drums group followed by a DJ performance to keep the crowd entertained. Children will be able to enjoy bouncy castles, face painting, magic shows, and a balloon counter, including nail art and henna air brush for the young girls. Tap dancers will perform with their usual vigour and vibrancy, and to really put the event on a high, SkyDive Dubai will land in ‘Pink’ style, amazing everyone with their high-octane arrival!

Now in its 19th year, Safe & Sound is one of the largest and most comprehensive breast cancer campaigns in the Middle East. This year, in order to increase longevity and wider reach of support, the campaign has launched the BurJuman Safe & Sound Application. The BurJuman Safe & Sound Application promotes a healthy lifestyle and enables you to walk for a great cause. The app users can track their walks and runs through the user-friendly interface, challenge their friends, and also use it to spread the word about their achievements through social media channels. Participants can also donate money directly to Safe & Sound’s charity partners, Al Jalila Foundation and ‘Brest Friends’ through a built-in payment gateway. 

For this year’s Safe & Sound campaign, BurJuman has pledged to donate AED100,000 to the cause when the total distance walked through the new BurJuman Safe & Sound App reaches 50,000km milestone.
