22 leaders from Dubai Municipality Graduate from MBSRG's ‘Leaders of Tomorrow' Program

Dubai-UAE: October 10, 2015 – Mohammed Bin Rashid School of Government (MBRSG), a leading research and educational institution specializing in public policy in the Arab world, held a special ceremony for the first graduates of its ‘Leaders of Tomorrow’ program comprising 22 mid-tier executives from Dubai Municipality.

The ceremony was headlined by His Excellency Engineer Hussein Nasser Lootah, Director General of the Dubai Municipality, and His Excellency Doctor Ali Bin Sebaa Al Marri, Executive President of the Mohammed Bin Rashid School of Government (MBRSG). Other distinguished attendees included Professor Raed Al Awamleh, the Dean of MBRSG, and senior academics and officials from the MBRSG and the Dubai Municipality.

MBSRG’s nine-month program seeks to prepare and train potential future leaders in Dubai Municipality, combining the theory and practice of executive management. The courses are supplemented with field visits to leading government institutions in the UAE to give the students a chance to identify best practices and learn from them. The program also tackles examples of the major public administration challenges that can confront managers.

Featuring lectures, case studies, and face-to-face meetings with leaders from the public sector, the Leaders of Tomorrow program includes modules on decision making, negotiation and persuasion, and crisis management. The curriculum also includes a component on “management effectiveness and efficiency” addressing the issue of balancing work effectiveness with enhanced organizational capabilities and efficiency.

The Mohammed Bin Rashid School of Government is committed to promoting good governance through enhancing the region’s capacity for effective public policy.
