Dubai, October 4, 2015: On the occasion of "Gulf Express Day" which falls on October 5, Emirates Post Group organised a number of promotional events and extended the service to all express mail items bound for Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) countries on this day. This is in implementation of the decision of GCC countries to promote the Gulf Express service by observing October 5 as Gulf Express Day every year in all the GCC countries under the slogan "Gulf Express your first choice".
Chief Commercial Officer of Emirates Post Group, Ibrahim Bin Karam, stressed that "Gulf Express" has captured the attention of all member states of GCC because it highlights the importance of these countries. Therefore, it was fitting to observe Gulf Express Day on October 5 by organizing special events and extending the service to all postal items and parcels sent to GCC countries. He explained that "Gulf Express" is available in all post offices to allow customers to take advantage of the quick and secure service to any destination in the Gulf region at reasonable costs, enhanced by the facility of ‘track and trace’ through the Internet or through smartphone apps.
Mr. Bin Karam added that Emirates Post Group supports the Gulf Express product as a distinctive service because of its unique features and vast network, which has made it popular across the GCC region, especially since the volume of trade between the Gulf countries is on the rise and this product serves as the most important postal link between the Gulf states.
