Highlights Solutions that Facilitate Regional Banking Sector to Achieve Efficiency, Security and Scalability across Operations
Dubai/UAE: September 16, 2015 – Schneider Electric, a global leader in energy management and automation, discussed the importance of implementing advances in datacenter technologies to step-up the efficiency and security of financial institutions at the Middle East Banking Technology and Innovation Summit (MEBIS) 2015.
Ziad Youssef, Vice President of ITB, Gulf Countries, Schneider Electric delivered a keynote speech on how the right IT architecture could offer positive solutions to meet the challenges faced by the region’s financial sector. Schneider Electric is participating in the leading technology event this year as a diamond sponsor.
Jonathan Duncan, ITB MEA Director for Integrated Solutions & Data Center Applications, shared insights on ‘Datacenter Efficiency through Software.’
Highlighting the challenges of modern datacenters and the need for holistic integration of technology hardware and software components, Duncan outlined best practices in making safe and accurate decisions that increase the efficiency of an enterprise.
Ziad Youssef said: “At Schneider Electric, one of our focus areas is to build a strong network in the banking sector. We believe this forum is the perfect opportunity for us to share our knowledge, product offering and solutions. Today, every organization, no matter how well established, is looking for better ways to optimize their resources and transform datacenter infrastructure in order to offer smarter, more responsive solutions that facilitate ease of communication, and can be scaled up at minimal expenditure.
“We propose not to alter an organization’s entire datacenter network, but to provide convenient solutions that boost productivity and reduce operating, capital and maintenance expenditures over a period of time.”
Highlighting specialized technology for the financial sector in his presentation, Jonathan Duncan said: “At Schneider Electric, we strive to connect IT with OT to help enterprises develop and stay on par with competition and industry trends. Our suit of datacenter infrastructure technology is a value-add to banks, helping them become smarter and operationally more efficient while mitigating risks and minimizing downtime. We believe datacenters are the information backbone of any enterprise today – and must be strengthened to keep the organization standing strong and resilient to internal and external attacks. ”
MEBIS 2015, now in its fifth year, is a leading regional event for banking sector.
