Goodyear Announces Fitment on Range Rover Sport

Dubai, 20 August 2015 – Goodyear has announced the fitment of Range Rover Sport with Goodyear Eagle F1 Asymmetric SUV tires, a fitment that represents many years of working with Jaguar Land Rover.
The Eagle F1 Asymmetric SUV fitment complements the car’s on-road dynamics and agile handling. The tire offers cornering control so pressure is evenly distributed and road contact is maximized when cornering at a speed. It also provides improved handling on wet roads versus its predecessor via an asymmetric design that increases contact with the road surface and channels water to prevent aquaplaning. Finally the tread pattern reduces noise for a quieter, more comfortable drive to match the luxurious interior of the car.
“The Eagle F1 Asymmetric SUV tire was a natural fit to complement the all-terrain performance of the latest Range Rover Sport. We have worked with Jaguar Land Rover for many years on several fitments, including the Range Rover Evoque and Land Rover Discovery Sport. We are proud of our fitment on the Range Rover Sport,” said Hans Vrijsen, Marketing Director Goodyear Europe, Middle East and Africa.
Matthias Urban, Consumer Sales and Marketing Director at Goodyear MEA added, “With a cumulative growth rate of approximately 5 per cent per annum predicted in car sales up to 2017, the GCC is expected to see a massive increase in the number of cars on the road. Our collaboration with Range Rover is aimed to cater to the growing needs of the market and the fitment of the Range Rover Sport is a step in this direction. With the wide popularity of SUV and 4X4 vehicles in the region, we are confident the Goodyear Eagle F1 Asymmetric SUV tires will be widely accepted and enjoyed, especially by those who drive Range Rover models in the region.”
