TUMI returns to its roots for fall 2015

Dubai, June 30, 2015: Founder Charlie Clifford’s passion to make travel easier was the driving force and catalyst that motivated him to create TUMI. The brand name derives from the moniker for a Peruvian icon and was inspired by Clifford’s Peace Corps mission in South America. TUMI may have been launched as an importer of leather goods, but Clifford had bigger ideas and was focused on revolutionizing the travel world. For the Fall 2015 season, TUMI perfects the journey and travels back to where it all began—Peru.

Taking inspirational cues from the geography of Peru, the Core Collection fuses strong neutrals with pops of color to infuse excitement into the assortment for Fall 2015. 

The Alpha 2 Travel assortment introduces the colorway Navy/Anthracite, inspired by the caves in Cutervo National Park.

Tumi re-writes the story of Camo with the re-launch of Alpha Bravo and Alpha Bravo travel, as well as Tegra-Lite. All styles feature TUMI’s proprietary camo pattern. 
A tried and true favorite, the Alpha Bravo Cannon Backpack (22385), is updated in Moss/Black for the season. Offered in rich Dark Brown, new and existing silhouettes, the Luke Roll-Top Backpack (92388) and the Annapolis Zip Flap Crossbody (92304), are highlights of the Alpha Bravo Leather assortment. 

The seasonal color palette permeates the Premium Collection, refreshing timeless silhouettes with renewed energy. The Astor Collection brings a refined sophistication to business and travel accessories. A vibrant solar shade of yellow is launched with the Astor Dorilton Slim Flap Brief (93231) and Drexel Envelope Brief (93201) in textured full-grain leather, adding an unexpected pop of color to the boardroom. 

The Women’s travel collection offers an updated palette inspired by the rich Andean textiles of Peru. Colors include Magenta, Aubergine and Teal, with seasonal prints Peony Floral and Plum Stripe. The Alpha 2 International Expandable Carry-On (22260) arrives in Aubergine with sophisticated gold hardware accents. The spacious interior features a unique toiletry kit that doubles as a down strap. Bold seasonal hues including Teal and Peony Floral are the focus for the Tegra-Lite collection, specifically with the International Carry-On (28820) and the Large Trip Packing Case (28827). 

Designed for women in business, the chic Sinclair Viera Business Tote (79386) has a removable laptop sleeve, jewelry pocket, and TUMI ID Lock™. The Blair International Carry-On (79360) has a highly functional and unique interior organizational system, including a built-in suitor and a removable toiletry kit that doubles as a tie down. 

Available in two sizes, the Larkin Nora Tote (73610, 73909) features a dedicated media pocket as well as pockets for jewelry, phone, electronics and other accessories. The interior back pocket features TUMI ID Lock™ to guard against identity theft.
