India's Masterchef Champion joins Beach Rotana Abu Dhabi!

Nikita Ghandi, winner of India’s MasterChef, Season 4, has joined the Beach Rotana Abu Dhabi.
Abu Dhabi, June 22, 2015 –Beach Rotana proudly joined culinary forces with the youngest winner of India’s MasterChef (S4) on June 16 2015. Champion Nikita Ghandi joined the Kitchen team to gain some real-world experience with our chefs.
Nikita’s main interest is baking; hence, she will spend most of her culinary internship with the Pastry team of Beach Rotana. Her tasks will be overseen by our Executive Pastry Chef, Jocelyne Fallait, who won the Gourmet Abu Dhabi “Best Pastry Chef Award” in 2014. Her tasks will range from baking bread to making desserts a la carte.
Adam Ashe, Executive Chef at the Beach Rotana stated: “We are proud to have Nikita on board for the upcoming months; it is a great honor that she has chosen to learn from our team. Nikita is very talented, and we all will ensure that during her time with us, she will gain as much knowledge and experience as possible.”
MasterChef India is a widely popular Indian televised competitive cooking show, based on Britain’s MasterChef TV series. This season’s winner had to best 11 weeks and 67 competitions to earn the coveted Gold Chef Jacket. Nikita’s interest in food started very early, when she was only 7 or 8 years old, by watching her mother cook. Since then, her main focus has always been on sweets and cakes. She has lived in several countries, including India and the US that have increased her curiosity and interest in fusion cooking and molecular gastronomy.
