Abu Dhabi-UAE: 20 June 2015 -His Excellency Engineer Sultan bin Saeed Al Mansouri, Minister of Economy and Chairman of the Board of Directors of the UAE Insurance Authority, Securities and Commodities Authority and the General Civil Aviation Authority, today announced that all four establishments had successfully achieved 100% migration to electronic services.

His Excellency's comments followed thereview of therecently released E-Transformation Smart Government Services Index Report 2015, issued by the Telecommunications Regulatory Authority onthe digital transformation of various federal agencies andaffiliated departments.

Al Mansouri said:'We are very pleased with the results because they validate the significant developments we are currently witnessing in the United Arab Emiratesunder the wise leadership of the UAE President, His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, and His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai.”

Al Mansouri added: “The Ministry of Economy, Insurance Authority, Securities and Commodities Authority and the General Civil Aviation Authority have proven that they have the required capabilities and competencies to live up to the aspirations of our leaders and improve the level of servicesto contribute to the happiness of the citizens and residents of the country. Furthermore, the four authorities are seeking to raise their smart services usage to 80% by 2018.”

Al Mansouri also expressed his gratitude to all the teams involved in the smooth transition to e-services. He notedthat the results of the report demonstrated the high levels ofresponsiveness and commitment of the employees at all four establishments toadhere to the timeframe set by the UAE Prime Minister two years ago.

Applauding the milestone, the Minister also stressed that achieving 100% e-transformation across 62 priority government services is a phenomenal task and endorses the UAE'sleading status as a role model for development and progress on a global platform.
