Sofy Benjallal debuts “Blossoms” Ramadan Collection at Salma Khan Fashion House

- young designer’s debut collection is a combination of traditional fabrics and embroideries-

6th June 2015, Dubai, United Arab Emirates– Salma Khan Fashion House proudly presents a Ramadan Collection “Blossoms” by SofyBenjallal. A young designer, Sofy ‘s collection was inspired by her Moroccan heritage infused by Khaleeji and Pakistani influence. 20-piece collection including abayas, jalabiyas and kaftans, “Blossoms” is a colourful collection of brocade, silk, taffeta and cotton fabrics combined with intricate Moroccan Feta embroidery, lace and beadwork.

 "Blossoms is a reflection of my own emergence; I am finally blossoming in the world of fashion with this debut collection.  Combining Ramadan and summer season allowed me to touch on traditional silhouettes with seasonal colours.  This collection was designed from a place of new beginning, where I combined my Moroccan heritage and my Khaleeji influence, an eclectic of khaleeji fabrics and prints mixed with Morrocan style embroideries. I have been a shy designer but this debut collection has allowed me to step outside myself and seek the inspiration from within” said SofyBenjallal, Fashion Designer.” said SofyBenjallal, Fashion Designer.

SofyBenjallal is determined to create fashion waves in a dynamic and many a times challenging fashion industry. A young designer inspired by her Middle Eastern ethnicity and influenced by global trends, Sofia continues to discover her aesthetics in the world of fashion. A graduate of ESMOD fashion Institute, Paris in 2014, Sofia has journeyed around the world in search of her true calling; after graduating from ESEI, the International School of Business, Barcelona, it was her fascination of front row of the fashion world that encouraged her to pursue fashion full time. Combining her passion for fashion, creativity and a good eye for shape and colour, Sofia aims to curve a niche for herself with her pret a porter collections.
