RAK Hospital brings smile on the faces of cabbies, gifts them ready meals to break fast
Ras Al Khaimah, UAE, June 21, 2016: With the aim to acknowledge the unstinted services of taxi drivers, RAK Hospital, the flagship brand of Arabian Healthcare Group, distributed around 500 ready iftar packages to Ras al Khaimah cabbies on Sunday. The ceremony, conducted at the hospital premises between 4pm to 6pm, brought smiles on drivers’ faces, who appreciated this spirit of generosity by the healthcare institution. The yearly initiative has been a huge success with the community workers, whose hard work often goes unnoticed, despite their diligent performance of duties while adhering to religious obligations.
Dr. Raza Siddiqui, CEO Arabian Healthcare Group and Executive Director of RAK Hospital said, “In our way, we would like to encourage the Ras Al Khaimah drivers who have been instrumental in bringing comfort in our lives, yet are rarely acknowledged. Many of them are away from their families so such programmes help in creating a bond with the community and make them feel loved. This is a small step to show gratitude towards the people who are highly committed to their job as they are always ready and willing to serve their customers even though they are fasting. “
He further added “This initiative is in keeping with the spirit of the holy month of Ramadan. The ready iftar meal packages will help the cab drivers to break their fast during Ramadan while on the wheel; this will also help to reduce traffic accidents as the drivers’ speed up during iftar time to end their fast”.
RAK hospital is known for its commitment towards the social responsibility and has initiated a number of campaigns across various platforms to create a happier, healthier UAE.
