McCollins Media develops Code Blue - an innovative social alarm app to combat the snooze
Dubai, United Arab Emirates, 27 April 2015: In a survey conducted by McCollins Media, a leading web design and social media marketing agency, it was revealed that 90 per cent people hit the snooze button in the morning on a daily basis. The surveyed revealed this leads to a ‘mad-rush’ thereafter, often leading to a chaotic situation with their morning routine.
Addressing the issue with a social twist, McCollins Media has launched Code Blue – an application that goes beyond regular alarm apps available on the app store. Code blue brilliantly integrates social media to make sure you do not over snooze!
“Waking up in the mornings is not a beloved chore and could be difficult given the erratic work schedules and demands,” said Meghna Kothari, Director, McCollins Media. “Code Blue is an innovative social alarm app that alerts your Facebook friends that you need to be woken up in case you have come down with a bout of snoozing.”
Code blue allows you to set an alarm for any given time in the day, but, the app lets you choose a friend to intervene in case you have snoozed once too often. This is achieved through the app’s in-built feature to post your request for a wakeup-call on your Facebook page tagging your pre-selected friend(s). Once your friend receives the notification, they will call you to wake you up.
The app lets you select your desired alarm-tone and customize the post which will be shared on your wall. “Code Blue is not designed to be a stern taskmaster, on the contrary it works subtly in the background, and will alert your pre-selected friends only once you have hit the snooze button X number of times,” Meghna added.
