Coral Al Khobar Hotel Expects Significant Growth in Business
Last Update: Monday, April 20, 2015 : 16:52 (+4GMT)
The Coral Al Khobar Hotel expects that the hotel’s overall occupancy in the coming weeks will rise significantly following the sales teams’ aggressive campaign in various national and regional cities.
Michel H. Mandrea, General Manager of Coral Al Khobar Hotel, said, “We are looking at an 80 per cent occupancy during the coming weeks, 65 per cent of this traffic will come from the corporate business, while remaining guests will be weekenders from various parts of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia itself.”
The hotel’s sales and marketing team recently showcased the property’s facilities in Riyadh (KSA), Doha (Qatar) and Kuwait. Soon they will be showcasing the hotel at the Arabian Travel Market (ATM) 2015, which will be held at Dubai International Convention and Exhibition Centre, Dubai, from May 4-7, 2015.
He said, “We have great expectations from the Arabian Travel Market in Dubai which will provide us an excellent platform to reinforce our market presence and establish tie-ups with key players of the regional and international tourism industry.”
Michel was upbeat as industry experts predicted bright future for hotel industry in the country. The Colliers International, which recently launched the MENA Hotel Market Forecast, has emphasised that the Saudi Arabia hospitality sector has been witnessing strong growth. According to a full year forecast predicted by the company, the overall occupancy rate in Al Khobar hotels will increase 4 per cent to reach 67 per cent in 2015.
Michel added, “Agreed that the demand is not growing as fast as the room inventory. To attract more guests, some hotels in the 5-Star bracket have even lowered their rates to the 4-Star standards. It has caused an imbalance in the market and all rates are dropping overall. But, we have confidence in our hotel’s facilities and services and will continue to maintain our brand value.”
