Glow in the dark with du this April at UAE's first ever NEORUN

Dubai, UAE, April 1, 2015: Get fit, have fun and immerse yourself in neon! In its aim to promote the belief that healthy living can be a fun lifestyle choice, du today announced its participation and support for NEORUN, the Middle East’s first ever UV paint night fun run, to be held at the Dubai Autodrome on April 10th from 7pm onwards.

In line with its directive to encourage a healthy lifestyle through its Every Step Counts initiative, du has been organising and participating in several entertaining events aimed at promoting a healthy lifestyle through fun experiences. du employees have previously participated in large numbers in events such as Standard Chartered Dubai Marathon, treadmill fitness challenge in malls and Ripe Market and are now signing up to participate in this very unique night run.

NEORUN, the first event of its kind the UAE, is a unique fun evening event that encourages friends and family to get together and run or walk the circuit covered in glowing UV paint. The event, which takes place in the dark, will ensure that every runner is covered in an effervescent glow. Special neon zones, situated every 500 meters, will ensure that the runners are covered in neon paint and also offer unique surprises as motivation to complete the race. Upon crossing the finish line, runners will be rewarded with a party atmosphere, hosted by Radio One deejays Danny C and Saif, thus taking their ‘glow in the dark’ experience through the night.

Representatives from du will be having fun at the event by handing out goodies and prizes, including iPods, to lucky participants and encouraging them to track their fitness performance with the du Wellness App. Smartphone users will be able to download the Wellness App and monitor their activity on the day, and adopt it into their everyday health and fitness routine.
