Innovative New PUMA evoPOWER Ball Developed Exclusively For Arsenal
Herzogenaurach, Germany (1 April, 2015) – PUMA and Arsenal Football Club today revealed the World’s first left footed football. Designed exclusively for Arsenal, the new left-footed PUMA evoPOWER football was created to increase the accuracy, power and precision of the often disadvantaged, left footed players. This game changing technology has been tested by Arsenal’s first team over the past weeks with great results.
In a game dominated by right-footed equipment, Arsenal felt it was crucial to develop balls specifically for their large number of left or two-footed players. This new innovation sees the grain of the upper material turned by 180°. In addition, the left side of the ball has been improved through stronger foam on the inside that protects it from the constant impact it is exposed to through left-footed players.
Santi Cazorla, Mesut Özil, Nacho Monreal and Hector Bellerin were the first players to test the new football and were surprised with its performance.
Santi Cazorla said: “It’s simply unbelievable. Before testing it myself, I would have never thought that this new ball could have such an impact, but I honestly think this is the biggest innovation I have seen in football for a long time.”
Right-footed player, Hector Bellerin added: “It’s a bit tricky to use on your right-foot but it instantly improved my left-foot. Great new technology.”
A short film showing the results and player views about the new ball can be watched here:
Keith Woods, Senior Product Line Manager for Teamsport Accessories at PUMA said about the new technology, “This football will not only improve the overall game of left and two footed players, it is also the perfect training aid for the right-footed player’s weaker left-foot. A left-footed player finally has the benefits that a right-footed player has always had with footballs to date.”
The new Left-Footed evoPOWER is available exclusively at Arsenal’s official online store, Arsenaldirect.com soon...
