Al Yousuf Motors showcases the new WaveRunner at Dubai Boat Show

Equipped with the innovative RiDE technology, the WaveRunner is a trendsetter in its category

Dubai, March 03,2015: A new wave hit water sport aficionados with the launch of the Yamaha WaveRunner at the Dubai International Boat Show 2015, being held at the Dubai International Marine Club. A five day event the boat show concludes on March 7.  Al Yousuf Motors, part of the business conglomerate Al Yousuf Group, has unveiled the WaveRunner which is equipped with the unique Reverse Intuitive Deceleration Electronics (RiDE) technology.

The RiDE technology ensures quick and intuitive operation for the rider as it utilizes a patented bucket design that forces water out the sides of the bucket, whereby acting as a virtual rudder that keeps the watercraft tracking in the direction the driver intended.

Commercial boating has been a tradition in the UAE with the leisure market growing manifold over the years. As a distributor of the unique products offered by Yamaha, Al Yousuf has been at the forefront of introducing new technologies in the region.

Yamaha’s new WaveRunner is the world’s first speed boat that has handlebars with dual throttle and it is available in the Yamaha 2015 FX and VX series of WaveRunners.

The Yamaha WaveRunner has received two prestigious awards by the National Marine Manufacturers’ Association (NMMA) in the mechanical and innovation category. The RiDE technology has also received the innovation award in the Personal Watercraft category.

The new RiDE technology is a major step forward in the speed boats becoming safer to use. The technology makes simplest reactions yield predictable and controlled actions.

The WaveRunner also comes with an all new Electric Trim System and the next generation Nano Xcel 2 technologies. The Electric Trim System, a component of the vehicle dynamics control, allows for easy control of the watercrafts attitude at any speed while the Nano Xcel 2 type of material used makes the vehicle lighter while maintaining the same strength and rigidity.
