Fujairah’s first ever wedding show received warm welcome
Fujairah, UAE, 21st February 2015 – Under the patronage of Sheikha Aselah Bint Saleh Bin Mohamed Al Sharqi, Fujairah’s first ever bridal show, Wedding Fashions, took place on Friday 20th and Saturday 21st February 2015 in the Dibba ballroom at the Novotel Fujairah. Wedding Fashions was inaugurated by Her Highness Sheikha Aselah Bint Saleh Bin Mohamed Al Sharq on Friday, the opening day.
The two day event showcased products and services which were greatly appreciated by the many visitors, both local and expat. Wedding Fashions was set up to give a genuine feeling of being at an actual wedding with a Kosha (platform for bride and groom) staging, flowers, an impressive collection of designer abayas and wedding gowns, and live music as well offering guests delicious Novotel delicacies.
Karim Zaki, General Manager of Novotel, ibis & Adagio Fujairah, who was determined to bring the first ever wedding show to Fujairah, said: “I am very pleased to say that Wedding Fashions was a huge success, with a much higher number of visitors than expected. Brides from Fujairah and beyond visited Wedding Fashions with their friends and families and enjoyed having the latest fashions and wedding trends brought directly to their doorstep. We had an amazing response from our exhibitors and sponsors as well, all of whom were very keen to take part and engage with Fujairah brides and bridal parties. This exhibition was the first in Fujairah but will definitely not be the last, and I am confident that there will be many more events to be held. The event was a great success and we are truly delighted with the positive feedback received and look forward to developing Wedding Fashions as an annual event!”
The event wrapped up on Saturday with an exclusive bridal couture fashion show by fashion house Dar Sara, during which visitors were dazzled by the exquisite Dar Sara wedding gowns.
