Clarks Reinvents Archive Styles for a Contemporary and Suitably Stylish Spring Summer Collection
Last Update: Sunday, February 22, 2015 : 12:26 (+4GMT)
Shoemakers since 1825, Clarks’ spring summer 2015 collection presents classic style with a contemporary twist as the brand takes inspiration from both runway and its ‘unique’ archives.
Touching on trends such as sports luxe, boho chic and masculine tailoring, the latest designs are sophisticated with a considered update. Neutral, dusty leathers deliver understated elegance, while strong colour blocking suedes, texturised fabrics and metallic finishes bring a breath of fresh air to unmistakable seasonal favourites.
This season’s flats are feminine in pastel shades, spanning a range of ballerina pumps, classic loafers and statement brogues. Highlights include the Ennis Weave, made of soft leather with intricate detailing on the toe – worn with the back up or down for a relaxed summer look. Meanwhile, Festival Glee provides the ultimate feminine fix, with a stacked heel, t-bar and minimal strap; available in soft patent leather and a pastel shade of lemon.

Drawing inspiration from sports luxe trends, the shoe brand breaks free from traditional silhouettes. Wedged heels are combined with cut-out designs, whilst the flatform provides a key style for the seasons. Rosalie Pose’s clean white metallic straps provide a modernist aesthetic. The block heel is a continuing trend with the Crumble Berry court, providing a soft feminine alternative to a workwear essential, as soft buttery leathers and neutral tones are combined to give a ladylike finish.

Summer sandals go back to basics with chunky straps and cork wood soles. The most eye-catching is Netrix Rose, an archive-inspired modern classic in the making – its bold metallic finish is complemented by chunky buckles and a saw tooth sole, adding true urban edge. The Zena Mae however, is the perfect poolside partner with its twist of color.
