Dubai, 15 February 2015 - The Egyptian Minister of Communications and Information Technology, Eng Atef Helmy, visited the Middle East’s first ever Teleperformance Virtual Contact Centre launched in Dubai Internet City.
The ministerial visit was prompted to fully value how the company’s innovative new home-grown technology will help Dubai businesses save time and money when dealing with the company’s multilingual contact centre hub in Cairo, Egypt. The establishment was made possible through Egypt’s Information Technology Industry development Agency’s strong vision leading the development of Egypt’s ICT industry to increase its global competitiveness, which has already made it a key contributor to the country’s economic growth.
Headquartered in Egypt, Teleperformance extended its operations to Dubai, making it easier for businesses to access its leading multichannel, multilingual customer relationship management and contact centre based in Cairo.
The minister’s visit recognises a new chapter in business dynamics in the Middle East and Africa. Through the launch of the virtual contact centre, Teleperformance Egypt brings to Dubai its successful expertise as the region’s leading company in customer experience.
During the visit, Giorgio Modesti, CEO, Teleperformance Egypt and Mohamed Yahia, CCO, Teleperformance Egypt & GM Teleperformance Dubai Branch, illustrated to His Excellence the concept of the virtual contact centre opened in Dubai and offered him a live demonstration of the centre.
“The idea of coming into Dubai is to be close to our customers, our partners and even our new potential customers by showing them the live centre, to see how the agents are operating. I am more than confident that it will boost the Cairo operations and even enhance the growth of onshore operations in Dubai with the customer who wants to stay domestically and drive more business for Cairo from customers in the Middle East” said Mohammed Yahia CCO, Teleperformance Egypt & GM Teleperformance Dubai Branch
“Eng. Atef Helmy has been the first with whom Teleperformance Egypt Regional CEO Mr Yannis Tourcomanis disclosed our plan to open a new branch of Teleperformance Egypt in Dubai, having you the Minister visiting our virtual contact centre is the best way to celebrate the successful achievement of that goal” Giorgio Modesti – Teleperformance Egypt CEO.
His Excellency the Minister commented on his visit to Teleperformance Virtual Contact Centre in Dubai “You know why I am here, because you are a reliable, committed Company; you met your plans and launched on time. Mr. Yannis Tourcomanis discussed with me a few months ago the project and I am here to witness this achievement and pay tribute to Teleperformance Team for meeting my expectations.” The Minister tweeted on Teleperformance Egypt twitter page “The honor was mine, great effort, great Team; keep up the good work! #TPinDXB
