Dabur International CEO conferred ‘Alumnus of the Year Award 2014' by IIFT

Prestigious Indian institute recognises Malhotra’s outstanding professional accomplishments
Dubai, UAE, 14 February, 2015 - Dabur International, one of the most trusted and recognized personal and healthcare companies in the world, has announced that its CEO, Mohit Malhotra, has been honoured with the ‘Alumnus of the Year Award 2014’ by the Indian Institute of Foreign Trade (IIFT), one of the leading Indian organizations for foreign trade management. Malhotra, who studied for an Executive Masters Degree in International Business under the institute’s 2002-2003 batch, was recognised for his extraordinary professional achievements.
The Dabur head received the award from Dr. Surajit Mitra, Director of IIFT, at the institute’s annual Grand Alumni Reunion. The ‘Alumnus of the Year Award’ was instituted in 2005 to recognize the exemplary professional accomplishments of its alumnus. The jury for the 2014 awards included B. Ashok, Chairman, Indian Oil Corporation; B. Prasada Rao, Chairman and Managing Director, The State Trading Corporation of India Limited; S.K. Roongta, Vice Chairman, Bharat Aluminium Company; and Dr. Mitra.
On receiving the award, Malhotra said: “It is a great honour to be recognised by my very own alma mater. The teachings and principles that I accumulated as a management student at IIFT are the foundation of my professional career. The learning period at the prestigious institute helped redefine my concepts on international business, the corporate sector, and Indian and international economics. I humbly thank IIFT for bestowing me with such a great honour.”
Set up in 1963 by the Government of India, the IIFT is an autonomous organization that helps professionalise the country’s foreign trade management and increase exports by developing human resources, generating, analysing and disseminating data, and conducting research. It has trained more than 40,000 business professionals across 30 countries in various facets of international business and trade policy. Interestingly, IIFT was ranked as the 6th Best Indian School in 2014 by the Wall Street Journal.
