Drake & Scull Engineering wins AED 198 million MEP contract for a prestigious Hotel Development in Dubai

[UAE, January 28, 2015] Drake & Scull Engineering (DSE), the engineering subsidiary of Drake & Scull International PJSC (DSI PJSC), a regional market leader in the integrated design, engineering and construction disciplines of General Contracting, Mechanical, Electrical and Plumbing (MEP), Water and Power, Rail, and Oil and Gas, and Water and Wastewater Treatment, has been awarded a AED 198 million MEP contract on an upcoming hotel and serviced apartment complex.
The package forms a significant part of the iconic project conceived as a mixed-used development which embraces the unique aspects of its prestigious location. Construction work on the hotel complex has commenced and completion is targeted for 2017.
Drake & Scull Engineering will deliver its MEP services for five hospitality buildings ranging between 15 and 19 floors, featuring a hotel and serviced apartments, a ballroom and an attached café; a marina, including four foot bridges and one vehicular bridge; and hard and soft landscaping works. The objective of the development is to transform the location into a vibrant urban centre and a prominent landmark in the heart of Dubai. The project will set a benchmark for future developments and it will be one of the much sought after addresses in Dubai.
