Sharjah invites global investors to SAIF Zone

SHARJAH (14/01/2015) - Sharjah Airport International Free Zone (SAIF ZONE) trade delegation successfully participated in a six-day long global trade show that was held in Mahatma Mandir, the new exhibition and convention centre in Gujarat from 7th to 13th January.
The show, the largest exhibition in India and a part of the Vibrant Gujarat Summit, was inaugurated by Indian External Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj. It provided a platform to over 2,000 companies from 25 different sectors to showcase their products and attracted over 1.7 million visitors from 130 countries.
“Our participation in the event was noticed widely. As we are embarking on our next phase of expansion, this exhibition was an ideal convergence for our team to show-case our strengths and highlight business opportunities,” said Saud Salim Al Mazrouei, Director of SAIF Zone and HFZA.
“Our team interacted with industry leaders from all over the world and met investors from India, Canada, Germany, France, Australia, UK, USA, Netherlands and many more,” he elaborated.
SAIF ZONE, which has over 6500 companies operating out of it from 148 countries, is the 'industrial powerhouse’ of the UAE with a modern infrastructure and an emphasis on cost effectiveness.
Mohammed Al Mahmoud , Commercial Director and Anoop Warrier, Sales Officer, represented SAIF Zone in the event.
The global trade show mainly focused on sectors like agriculture, education, oil and gas, power & renewable energy, urban infrastructure, automobiles, IT and telecommunications, Ayurveda & food processing, gems & jewellery, textiles and handlooms and mines & minerals to name a few.
