Festive Season Set to Delight at The St. Regis Saadiyat Island Resort

Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates – The upcoming festive season is set to delight UAE residents and guests as the season comes alive on the shores of The St. Regis Saadiyat Island Resort, Abu Dhabi.

Bespoke packages, culinary delights and uncompromising service are on offer at Abu Dhabi’s most captivating luxury address, which is sure to provide timeless memories for all guests.

Marking the start of the season, on 11 December, the resort will have a traditional Tree Lighting Ceremony featuring carol singing, indulgent treats and a special visitor expected to sleigh in. Each evening as the sun sets over Saadiyat and the candles are lit, carol singers will uphold the tradition of Christmas carolling and entertain guests with timeless festive songs.

The Drawing Room is set to offer a Festive Afternoon Tea from 3 – 26 December with both sparkling and non-alcoholic options on offer and an exclusive Christmas tea range, while  Sucré, the resort’s pastry shop, promises a seduction of the senses with handmade chocolates, pastries and bespoke cakes, all with a festive touch,

Christmas Eve and Christmas Day

The idyllic resort is offering the magic of traditions and warmth of the season on Christmas Eve and Christmas Day. The resort’s Mediterranean-influenced all day dining venue, Oléa, with panoramic views of the ocean, will feature a festive twist on The St. Regis Brunch, while a truly exclusive experience awaits at signature restaurant 55&5th, The Grill, which will be offering a delectable festive menu with a pianist to entertain diners.

On the pristine shores of the resort’s Turquoiz Beach Restaurant, a special BBQ Lazy Lunch concept is on offer for Christmas day, with a special upgrade available for lobster, and a live DJ sure to delight brunch goers.

Boxing Day Brunch

A unique Boxing Day Brunch is set to take place on Friday 26 December. Traditionally known for when servants and tradesman would receive gifts known as “Christmas box” from their employees, Boxing Day is also a time to spend time with family and friends, dining on leftovers from Christmas day.

New Year’s Eve

While the original St. Regis in New York was renowned for the lavish parties hosted by Mrs. Astor, The St. Regis Saadiyat Island Resort will uphold this legacy with its own New Year’s Eve celebrations that will rise above expectations. The Gala Dinner in The Regal Ballroom will create memorable moments in a grand setting, where an international buffet will entice while an eight piece band entertain with a live show, ringing in the New Year with fireworks on the sea view terrace. Stilt walkers, dancers and performers are sure to delight in the spirit of the legacy of Mrs. Astor, while a children’s area will provide a safe space to the littlest of revellers.

The resort’s signature restaurant, 55&5th, The Grill will host a fine evening with pre-dinner drinks and canapés before an indulgent 7-course set menu and live music, while an alternative New Year’s Eve awaits guests at the South East Asian cuisine venue, Sontaya.

On the beach at Turquoiz the atmosphere will come alive when a two DJ live music show turns up the heat after the sun sets, with a tantalizing 4-course set menu with beverages.
