Malabar Gold & Diamonds join hands with Dubai Municipality to support the initiative ‘Clean up the world 2014'

HE Eng. Hussain Nasser Lootah, Director General-Dubai Municipality honors the jewellery chain for its outstanding philanthropic contributions

Dubai, 20 November 2014 - Malabar Gold & Diamonds, one of the leading jewellery groups supported the 7 day long public awareness campaign in the emirate of Dubai launched by H E Eng. Hussain Nasser Lootah, Director General, Dubai Municipality under the slogan ‘ Our Place…Our Planet...Our Responsibility’. The event, which was aimed at creating public awareness on maintaining clean city, was held from 9 to 14 November 2014 in different parts of Dubai and above 40,000 registered volunteers from different walks of life took part in it.

Being the sponsor of the event, Mr Hamza K S, Manager - CSR of Malabar Gold & Diamonds received memento from H E Eng. Hussain Nasser Lootah on behalf of Malabar Gold & Diamonds in recognition of their outstanding participation and support. To support this initiative, volunteers from Malabar Gold & Diamonds joined the officials from various government departments, schools and other delegates to clean the Dubai Residence area, next to Zayed University (near to Dubai Silicon Oasis) on 14 November 2014.

The official bodies of UAE give significant importance to the health and safety of the environment and run different cleaning campaigns to improve the quality of life here. It also keeps attracting millions of tourists to this magnificent country. Multinational companies like Malabar Group can play an important role to enhance the standard of living of the community and it sets a wonderful example of philanthropy that others can follow.
