Dubai, 29 October, 2014:Chillout Productions confirmed today another headline act for the 13th Edition of the Emirates Airline Dubai Jazz Festival* 2015. The Americansinger-songwriter, musician, and producerJohn Legend, who is known for his legendary voice and soulful R&B, will return to perform at the annualfestival as part of hisWorldwide #ALLOFMETOUR. Legend is scheduled to bring his signature mix of jazz, pop, and soul soundon Friday, February 27th at Dubai Media City Amphitheatre. Also contributing to the melody of the festival’s closing day, Esperanza Spalding, the acclaimed American jazzbassist, cellist and singer, will be opening this night with John Legend.

As to be expected, this year’s 2014 accolades are no less impressive in John Legend’s music career. The star has taken nominations for a number of American Music Awards including Artist of the Year & Favorite Male Artist (for both the Pop/Rock distinction and the Soul/R&B genre). Legend’s chart-topping single “All of Me” garnered a nomination for Single of the Year and his “Love In the Future” LP is up for Favorite Album, Soul/R&B.“Love In The Future” introduces a pop vibe to the sound of R&B that really makes his music distinctive. In an interview with XXL, he mused, “I think it’s my best album yet, and I think creatively, we did some great things.”
On top of that, the night begins with another great American musician. The jazz bassist, cellist, and singer Esperanza Spalding will be opening the night’s festivities. She has four solo albums, which showcase her gripping voice and original composition. Her outstanding musical talent won her an invitation to perform at the 2009 Nobel Peace Prize ceremonies, as the laureate invited artist for U.S. President Barack Obama. However, she is probably most remembered for her coveted win of Grammy Best New Artist in 2011. To date, Spalding holds four Grammy Awards.
