ADNEC to Gather Top 13 South Korean Medical Institutions
Abu Dhabi-UAE: 28 October 2014: - Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Centre (ADNEC) will host Korean Medical Tourism Forum, for the first time, on 28-29 October 2014. 13 of the top health centres and clinics from the Republic of Korea, with over 30 leading medical specialists, will participate to promote medical tourism in the capital emirate. The two day event is expected to draw over 2,000 visitors.
The forum aims to introduce residents of Abu Dhabi to the latest achievements in the Korean medical industry. Medical tourism in the South East Asian region has been witnessing steady growth with access to advanced resources to provide excellent health care services and ensure patients safety in compliance with the highest international standards.
The event will offer a unique opportunity for industry professionals to expand their network, and gain an exclusive look at the latest medical practices. Additionally, a wide range of medical consultations will be provided to visitors seeking medical advice.
Latifa Kabi, Sales Manager at ADNEC said: “At ADNEC, we are always looking forward to hosting specialized forums and exhibitions that offer an ideal platform for raising awareness in the emirate. Showcasing innovative products and broadening access to the best services is what we are committed to doing as a leading destination in the MICE industry.”
ADNEC will collaborate with the Korean Tourism Organisation to host a forum engaging a wide range of medical professionals working in different specialties. The visitors will learn about latest developments in the Republic of Korea’s medical services that have recently attracted extensive global attention.
Kabi added: “ADNEC is proud to bring this event to Abu Dhabi for its contribution to the growth of the local medical industry. ADNEC will provide the forum organizers with all means of support at a level reflecting the centre’s reputation as a provider of world-class organization, logistics and service facilities.”
Commenting on ADNEC’s support, John Sung Rhee, the Vice-President of the Korean National Tourism Organisation expressed his gratitude to ADNEC and Abu Dhabi for offering Korean hospitals the chance to present their services. Hospitals such as Seoul National University Hospital will have an unparalleled opportunity to tap into the emirate’s medical tourism market through introducing forum visitors to the therapy options available in South East Asia.
Rhee also added that the forum would allow visitors to experience medical tourism and learn about traditional eastern therapies including correction experiments, acupuncture therapy and general medicine practices. Additionally, the participating medical institutions will provide complementary individual medical advice and health screenings to patients. The forum will also help raise awareness on treatments for skin disorders, general preventative methods and healthy dieting practices
