Dubai Medical Tourism Packages launched during the 1st Health Regulations Conference in October.

Dubai, United Arab Emirates, October 25, 2014: Dubai Medical Tourism packages for residents and visitors were launched during the 1st Health Regulations Conference in Dubai, said a top Dubai Health Authority(DHA) official.
The two-day conference, which was inaugurated today at Conrad Hotel will act as a platform to discuss best practices in health regulation and medical tourism in the region and around the globe.
HE Eng. Essa Al Maidoor, Director-General of the DHA toured the medical tourism exhibition after the opening ceremony of the conference.
Dr Layla Al Marzouqi, Acting-Director of Health Regulation Department, said: “Medical Tourism has tremendous growth potential in Dubai because Dubai has a strong medical sector and has excellent tourism facilities. We are working closely with the private sector to roll-out wellness and other medical tourism packages. At this conference, the packages are available at discounted rates for the public.”
She said the packages will cater to both residents and tourists. “ For tourists some packages include hotel stay and flight tickets. For residents, it offers discounted rates for certain medical services. The packages are comprehensive and extremely convenient.”
She said that several healthcare providers are offering wellness packages at discounted rates. “The packages include specialized packages from executive to basic ones offering comprehensive health services. Packages for men and women comprise of specialist consultation, lab tests and other diagnostic tests. For instance, women’s health package includes consultation with a gynecologist, several investigations including but not limited to blood tests and breast cancer screening and mammogram.”
She said these packages are aimed to provide a comprehensive approach and treatment plan for lifestyle diseases and will help in early detection and treatment.
The packages can be bought by residents during the two-day exhibition that is taking place at Conrad Hotel.

Al Zahra Hospital: Twenty per cent off on Women’s and Men’s health package and 30 per cent off on Breast Cancer Screening.
Canadian Specialist Hospital: Ten to thirty-five percent discount on packages including: Osteoporosis, diabetes, fatty liver, prostate, cervical cancer, anti-natal etc.
Neuro-Spinal Hospital: Certain discounted packages.
Medcare Hospital: Breast Cancer screening, including mammogram for Dh350. Offer available until end of December. Normally, mammogram costs Dh 650- discount amounts to roughly 70 per cent.
