Deyaar Marks ‘Breast Cancer Awareness Month'

Dubai-UAE: 23 October, 2014 – Deyaar Development PJSC, a customer-focused, trusted and valued developer with in-depth market intelligence and property management expertise, today hosted a breast cancer awareness initiative for its female employees in conjunction with the UAE Ministry of Health.
As part of the day long activity, Dr Mona Al Subailji from the Ministry of Health offered a talk on the prevention of breast cancer through early detection. A video was also shown to provide the participants with information on breast health and tools for prevention. Additionally, the employees were led through easy to follow techniques on self-examination. The session concluded with a contest for the best dressed lady in pink.
Mona Al Tamimi, Vice President - Marketing and Communications, Deyaar, said: “Deyaar is committed to promoting a healthy workplace through highlighting lifestyle practices that can be adopted to maintain an individual’s overall wellbeing. Today’s initiative was hosted as part of that priority.
“Despite the increasing incidence of breast cancer, a significant number of women are unaware of the importance of early detection. We thank the maternal and child health section in the Ministry of Health for wholeheartedly participating in the awareness campaign which encourages us to organize more like initiatives in the future.”
The month of October is marked worldwide as the Breast Cancer Awareness Month, Deyaar’s initiative was designed to highlight the importance of early detection and treatment.
