Think Pink, Drink Pink at Iris Yas Island

October 15, 2014 Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates – Iris Yas Island, Abu Dhabi’s favorite sunset destination turns pink from October 15th to 22nd in honor of Breast Cancer Awareness Month. Exclusive Pink Caravan merchandise will be available through the week at their special booth at Iris Yas Island where guests can purchase their favorite item and receive a complimentary pink mocktail in return. All proceeds of the merchandise will be donated to the cause.

The Pink Caravan, a UAE breast cancer awareness initiative launched in 2011 by Friends of Cancer Patients aims to raise awareness around breast cancer early detection and screening methods, lobby for the creation of the first UAE National Cancer Registry, and raise sufficient funds to purchase and operate a state of the art mobile mammography unit. 

“By joining hands with Pink Caravan we hope to increase awareness that early detection is key to preventing breast cancer. We hope that through our joint efforts we are also able to contribute in our little ways towards raising funds to support the Pink Caravan’s and Friends of Cancer Patients’ activities,” says Rhea Naffi, Marketing and Events Manager of Iris Yas Island.
