Etihad Airways to Host Major Global Cabin Crew Recruitment Drive

Etihad Airways, the national airline of the United Arab Emirates (UAE), is hosting a major recruitment drive globally, seeking individuals with outstanding hospitality experience to join the airline’s World Leading Cabin Crew.

The international recruitment days will take place in 12 different cities in five countries including Italy, Germany, Japan, Morocco and Tunisia. In Abu Dhabi, the airline will also hold recruitment days on 1, 8, 15, 22 and 29 October, and open days for food and beverage managers and inflight chefs on 13 and 27 October.

Aubrey Tiedt, Etihad Airways’ Vice President Guest Services, said: “In each of these cities we will be inviting up to 200 of the strongest candidates with remarkable hospitality skills to join us at the recruitment days.”

Alongside providing candidates with comprehensive information about living in Abu Dhabi and the dynamics of working with guests at 30,000 feet, the airline will also conduct an in-depth interview process.

“To support the rapid growth of the airline, we are hosting our recruitment drive in these countries, all strategically-important markets for the airline.

“We hope to attract and recruit talented and enthusiastic individuals who are incredibly passionate and dedicated to deliver remarkable hospitality.

“Our cabin crew team hails from more than 115 nationalities and benefits from extensive training and development, with tremendous career opportunities and new life experiences in the UAE,” Ms Tiedt said.

Successful candidates will undergo a comprehensive training program in Abu Dhabi, which includes all aspects of cabin safety and service delivery. The training is conducted at Etihad Airways’ state-of-the-art Training Academy.

Cabin crew are provided with company medical insurance, transport, uniforms and fully furnished company accommodation, and are all based in the fresh and vibrant surroundings of Abu Dhabi, the capital of the UAE.

Abu Dhabi is home to a wealth of world-class leisure, sports and entertainment activities, including the popular district Yas Island, the sporting arena of Zayed Sports City and world renowned restaurants from celebrity chefs such as Marco Pierre White and Gary Rhodes.

Etihad Airways has received a host of awards over the years reflecting its position as a world leading airline including the prestigious titles of World’s Leading Airline, World’s Leading First Class, and World’s Leading Airline Cabin Crew at the World Travel Awards held in November 2013 in Doha, Qatar.
