Mutually beneficial partnership renewed for a fourth year

Dubai, September 17, 2014 – Dubai Autodrome and NGK announced the extension of their ongoing partnership, which is now in its fourth year and coincides with the tenth anniversary of Dubai's premier motorsport venue.

NGK will be the title sponsor of the DAMC (Dubai Autdorme Motorsport Club) organised NGK Racing Series, which is run under the auspices of the ATCUAE and has UAE national championship status.

The partnership will see NGK involved in UAE national race day events at Dubai Autodrome, along with active promotions to be activated at the Dubai Kartdrome, adjacent to the main circuit in the heart of Motorcity.

Mohammed Iqbal, Marketing Manager of NGK Middle East, said, "For the fourth consecutive year, NGK is proud to be partnered with Dubai Autodrome. NGK has been actively participating worldwide in various motor racing series' including Formula 1, Moto GP and Le Mans. We also support many drivers and teams, along with race events around the world. We are always present to assist our end users to provide technical support."

Richard Birch, Dubai Autodrome Gerneral Manager, said: "We welcome the extension of our partnership with NGK. It is a boost for local motorsport which we have been actively helping to develop since the association began four years ago. NGK as a brand are synonymous with excellence in motorsport and for Dubai Autodrome this is a prestigious tie-up."

NGK Racing Series - including classes for touring cars, GT cars and UAE Clio Cup - will take place on six national race dates at Dubai Autodrome and two at Yas Marina, with the first scheduled for 31 October at the Abu Dhabi race track.
