Dubai Silicon Oasis Authority to Participate at CeBIT Bilişim Eurasia 2014

Dubai-UAE: 10 September, 2014 – Dubai Silicon Oasis Authority (DSOA), the regulatory body for Dubai Silicon Oasis (DSO), the integrated free zone technology park, today announced its second annual participation at CeBIT Bilişim Eurasia 2014 in Turkey, the number one annual digital business and technology event across Europe and Asia.

Scheduled to run from 11-14 September, CeBIT Bilişim Eurasia will feature sections dedicated to specific industry verticals, including machinery, textile, logistics, tourism, education and healthcare. The 2014 edition will offer DSO an opportunity to network and meet with ICT procurement decision makers looking to expand their businesses in Dubai.

Given the profile of exhibitors and visitors that the event is set to draw, we are confident the platform will help us build new relationships that further our ambitious objectives for the hi-tech free zone.”

Dubai Silicon Oasis has successfully created a hi-tech ecosystem comprising a state of the art infrastructure that is built on education, entrepreneurship, venture capital funding, and government services as core focus areas. 

In addition to highlighting the free zone technology park, representatives from DSO will also showcase its ‘Silicon Park’ project. Spanning an area of 150,000 square meters and built at an estimated cost of AED1.1 billion, the project has been designed as Dubai’s very first integrated smart city and will be completed by Q4 of 2017.

Visitors to the DSOA stand can also learn about the Dubai Technology Entrepreneurship Centre (DTEC). This project will provide existing and emerging high-tech entrepreneurs and start-ups with a highly motivating and efficient work environment. Scheduled for completion in early 2015, DTEC will nurture start-ups and seed ventures engaged in the Islamic economy domain in line with DSOA’s commitment to contribute to Dubai's ‘Capital of the Islamic Economy’ initiative.

A wholly-owned entity of the government of Dubai, DSO operates as a free zone technology park for large enterprises, medium and small companies looking to set up their offices in Dubai.
