MidEast Watch & Jewellery Show to fire up festive jewellery sales
Sharjah, 8th September 2014 - For all those who love jewellery, Sharjah is the place to be in during mid October. For, this is when the emirate is set to dazzle with the best of jewellery designs from across the world.
From finest jewellery to latest trends, special deals and accessories, the MidEast Watch & Jewellery Show will expose jewellery lovers from the region to different genres and styles of gold & diamond jewellery that are beautiful and elegant at the same time.
From October 14 to 18, Expo Centre Sharjah will turn into a location where world jewellery collections will vie for visitor attention with creations that combine Oriental flavour with Western quintessence, and designs that reflect culture and traditions. Besides, there will be sophisticated pieces that blend designers’ infinite inspiration and innovative creativity.
“The MidEast Watch & Jewellery Show is an unmissable event in the world of jewellery exhibitions and the upcoming event will focus on the festival season, helping jewellery lovers indulge in exclusive designs and trends from across the world,” said Mr. Saif Mohammed Al Midfa, CEO, Expo Centre Sharjah.
“Visitors can look forward to some really eye-catching jewellery as they genuinely add fun and flavour to festive occasions. In addition, visitors to the show can also take home a host of prizes,” Mr. Midfa added.
The show will present an extensive collection of jewellery that is inspired by contemporary trends, traditions, culture, art and high fashion by jewellers who create jewellery with the highest levels of artistry, creativity and excellence in quality and style. Visitors can also look forward to emeralds, rubies, sapphires and other gemstones of the highest quality in spectacular settings.
Held under the patronage of His Highness Dr. Sheikh Sultan Bin Mohammed Al Qassimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah, the upcoming edition of the show will feature more than 450 exhibitors and occupy 20,000 sq metres of exhibition space.
“There is a new jewellery trend that is coming out for autumn – the bigger the better. We expect statement-style rings, earrings and necklaces. However, there are some for whom jewellery fashion is moving towards a more simple, clean and delicate look, while still being strong and directional,” Mr. Mohamed Amjed, Project Manager of the MidEast Watch & Jewellery Show.
Residents and visitors will have an opportunity to indulge in some of modern, traditional and rare pieces of jewellery thanks to the National Pavilions that will be held as part of the MidEast Watch & Jewellery Show. They can also choose from pieces set in multi-coloured precious stones that are unique and awe inspiring. The pavilions this year will include Hong Kong-China, India, Italy, Malaysia, Singapore and Thailand.
Apart from a golden opportunity to purchase jewellery from the world’s leading jewellers, the show is also famed for offering visitors a chance to win some incredible prizes all through its five days. For every purchase of Dhs. 500, a shopper gets a chance to participate in the daily raffle draw, which in the past has given away prizes like a Mercedes Benz car, gold and diamond jewellery sets, etc.
The exhibition will be open from 14 to 18 October 2014 from 12 noon to 10 pm daily, except Friday from 4 pm to 10 pm. There will also be special ladies timings from 12 noon to 4 pm on Wednesday, 15th October. Admission is free for all.
