Dance and sing along with Modhesh and friends at BurJuman

Residents and visitors of all ages and nationalities can look forward to getting up close and personal with their favourite mascot Modhesh at BurJuman. The ever-popular star of the city is now grabbing the spotlight at the mall this Dubai Summer Surprises (DSS) while inviting all the children in town to join him for a fun-filled party filled with music and dance performances. 

Running until 27 August, shoppers can join Modhesh and his six friends, as part of the interactive Modhesh Celebration Show, offering entertaining acts in line with the season’s festive spirit. 

Adding a fun surprise element to the fabulous shopping experience at the mall, the show is enhancing the excitement amongst shoppers and compelling kids and their families to take home great memories of their encounter with Dubai’s favourite mascot. Accompanied by characters from popular storybooks, the DSS bash at BurJuman is turning out to be a wonderful treat with interactive games and performances held as part of this family spectacle. 

Abdulla Jamal, a 12 year-old boy, who enjoyed the performances of Modhesh with his brother, said “I love Modhesh and his friends! I see him everywhere and I’m very happy to see him dance and sing here with us”. Mohammad, his two year-old brother, also had a fantastic time while the mascots and the performers entertained their audiences live on stage.

“I like them so much! I love mascots and I like dancing with them. My favorite among them is DJ Monkey! He’s very funny”, said Ayra Noor, an Indian kid who was left thrilled by the characters. She watched the stage show with her siblings Armin and Ayra. Their father Suraj, said: “This is a great stage show for kids because they had the chance to dance, sing, and play along with the mascots and the performers. I’m glad I brought my kids here because they had lots of fun”. 

Kaulah, a nine year-old girl who was seen dancing along with the characters to their catchy tunes, said, “They are funny and they are entertaining. The games were fun and I enjoyed the show very much”. 

Families can catch Modhesh and his friends until 27 August at BurJuman, with three daily shows at 5:00pm, 6:30pm and 9:00pm. All Modhesh fans are invited to join the extravaganza and take home memories of a great DSS experience at BurJuman. 

The 17th edition of DSS is organized by the Dubai Festivals and Retail Establishment (DFRE), an agency of the Department of Tourism and Commerce Marketing (DTCM). DSS runs until  5 September, under the theme, “The Fun Side of Summer.”
