Like every part of the human body, teeth and gums are also prone to ageing. While a majority of people spend a huge amount of money and time to reverse the effects of ageing on their body parts such as skin, bones, eyes and hair, they tend to do nothing about their ageing teeth and gums. Even though teeth are strong and formidable parts of our mouth, they suffer from wear and tear caused by crunching, chewing and biting that can further lead to serious dental problems if ignored. Eight signs of ageing in teeth are receding gums, decay and cavities, sensitivity, loosening, plaque and tartar build up, staining or yellowing, swollen gums, and bleeding gums.

Just like ageing skin needs rejuvenating creams and lotions to remove signs of deterioration, hair needs colors to cover greys, the eyes require reading glasses for more clarity, and bones benefit from a well-balanced diet with the appropriate intake of calcium and Vitamin D to prevent diseases like osteoporosis, ageing teeth similarly need a special toothpaste which can provide everyday protection against the signs of ageing.

Maintaining proper oral hygiene along with regular use of anti-ageing toothpaste will ensure that teeth and gums are healthy. The ageing of teeth begins primarily with gum recession due to bacterial build up, plaque and wrong brushing techniques. This leads to thin and fragile gum tissues which cannot provide maximum strength and protection to the teeth, thus exposing them to the risk of developing other diseases such as cavities, loosening and eventual loss.

While there are a plethora of choices for anti-ageing products, there are not many breakthrough products available to prevent the premature ageing of teeth. Sensing the need to develop an innovative product in the field of oral care and hygiene, the research and development team of Dabur International has successfully introduced Dabur Herb'l Anti-Ageing Toothpaste. The-first-of-its-kind in the Middle East, the new toothpaste is fortified with seven traditional herbs and enriched with essential minerals and Vitamin E.

Dabur Herb'l Anti-Ageing Toothpaste is enriched with herbal ingredients that have traditionally been used to protect teeth and gum from decay, cavities, and other common dental problems. The product is enriched with the goodness of clove – an antimicrobial herb that prevents tooth decay and plaque formation, pepper and long pepper – an anti-inflammatory for the prevention of dental caries, ginger – an antipyretic herb with hypoglycemic properties, camphor – an antiseptic that relieves tooth ache, red ochre – a cooling astringent effective in stopping internal bleeding in the mouth, and mint – a natural mouth and breath freshener.

The anti-ageing formula of Dabur Herb'l Anti-Ageing Toothpaste is further fortified with essential minerals and vitamins such as soluble calcium for boosting remineralization of teeth and strengthening the enamel, calcium carbonate for removing stains and whitening teeth, and Vitamin E, an anti-oxidant that promotes young and healthy gums.
