Six families will get to drive the all-new Toyota Avanza
United Arab Emirates, Dubai July 9, 2014: Al-Futtaim Motors, exclusive distributor of Toyota in the UAE, has teamed up with Arabic daily newspaper Emarat Al Youm for a philanthropic campaign, ‘Joy of Ramadan’, that will see six Emirati families each receiving a brand new 7-seat Toyota Avanza vehicle to help with their day-to-day family and commuting requirements.
Central to one of its core values, community empowerment, the campaign is part of Al-Futtaim Motors ' ongoing corporate social responsibility and is a practical example of its commitment towards the communities it serves.
Introduced to the UAE for the first time last week, the new 7-seat Avanza is one of the most popular Toyota MPVs globally, due to its exceptional spacious and versatile interior, excellent loading capacity and great safety features, all in a compact and attractive body.
“For almost six decades Al-Futtaim Motors has been an important part of the UAE community. Above any other, the Holy month of Ramadan is the time of the year that we really feel compelled to contribute to this great tradition of giving and, at the same time, putting smiles on the faces of those who need it the most,” said Jon Williams, Managing Director, Al-Futtaim Motors.
“As an integral part of the fabric of this nation, we are delighted to partner with Emarat Al Youm to bring happiness to six families by donating six new Toyota Avanzas. We hope that with the new cars these families will find their daily lives a little easier to manage”, he added.
Over the next five weeks, all six Avanza vehicles will be delivered to their new owners who were identified by Emarat Al Youm in conjunction with the relevant authorities as deserving some help in their struggle to make ends meet.
The six families will benefit from one-year’s free insurance and registration fees for their new Avanza and will also be able to enjoy the car’s excellent fuel efficiency every single day.
