Hilton Ras Al Khaimah Resort & Spa took part in Hilton Worldwide's Largest Global Career Event

Careers@HiltonLive Focused on Emirate Women to Discover the Vast Career Opportunities Available in the Dynamic Hospitality Industry

RAS AL KHAIMAH, UAE – 14 June 2014 – Hilton Ras Al Khaimah Resort & Spa in cooperation with the Government of Ras Al Khaimah HR department led by HR director Mohamed Abd Latif, hosted 60 emirati women for a seminar and showcased to them jobs and internship programmes available within the hospitality industry.

The Human Resources and Learning & Development teams of Ras Al Khaimah led the initiative and took part in the Careers@Hilton Live: Youth in Hospitality Month, Hilton Worldwide’s largest ever global career event showcasing to young people the many opportunities available in the hospitality industry.

The 60 eager and enthusiastic emirati women showed great interest in fine culinary art, where executive chef, Hany Mohammed, along with chef de cuisine, Fatah Gacem, spoke about culinary art and tips on building a career in the hospitality industry. The team followed with a comprehensive tour of the five-star kitchens with explanation on the functions of different culinary sections.

Hilton Worldwide’s Chef Apprentice Program was introduced by cluster HR Director, Idris Siddig. The programme aims to expose budding chefs to a range of culinary and business skills which are reinforced through mentoring, on the job training and even job placement support. The programme is one of the milestones of Hilton Worldwide focusing on the leaders of tomorrow.
