Maison Maatouk defies concerns of market saturation and domination of international franchises by opening 5th UAE outlet at Abu Dhabi’s Marina Mall
UAE, Abu Dhabi, June 08th 2014: The UAE’s coffee consumption market is set for remarkable growth and will be worth US$112 million by 2017, according to research by Euromonitor. This growth defies the perception that the market is already saturated with coffee shops, proving that innovative coffee outlets will always find a fresh way to lure customers. Although international franchises currently have the lion’s share of the market, local and regional chains like Maison Maatouk are demonstrating that the market has a strong appetite for a fresh experience that blends the best of both worlds: international and Arabic flavors.
In another sign of the coffee market’s growth, leading coffee outlet chain Maison Maatouk has celebrated the latest milestone in its 54-year success story after unveiling its fifth UAE branch at Marina Mall, Abu Dhabi. The launch follows popular demand from the UAE's community of adventurous trendsetters seeking a new experience.
Marketing Manager of Maison Maatouk, Jamal Saab was highly upbeat about the new branch: “We are immensely grateful to our loyal customers, and we respond to their tastes by continuously evolving our offerings to stay fresh and trendy. This is so much more than a coffee outlet: it’s an unsurpassed social experience, a vibrant hotspot for bonding in a soothing atmosphere, where our clientele is as diverse as the UAE itself.”
Marina Mall is Abu Dhabi’s most popular shopping and entertainment destination, making the coffee outlet an ideal haven for friends on a fun-filled outing. The chain’s Owner and CEO, Samira Maatouk originated from Lebanon before coming to the Land of Opportunity and pursuing the Great Emirati Dream after becoming a UAE citizen. She now blends her love for both her adopted nation (UAE) and her country of origin (Lebanon). She has become a role model in both women’s empowerment and entrepreneurship, inspiring not only ambitious women but also male entrepreneurs to turn big ideas into big success stories that build business empires even in the most challenging markets.
Since its expansion to the UAE two decades ago, Maison Maatouk has blossomed into five branches in Abu Dhabi and Al Ain, in addition to branches in KSA and Lebanon. In more exciting news for coffee enthusiasts, the chain is on the verge of opening a new branch in Dubai at another sensational location.
